FESTIVAL INFO

Program

Child Care Services

The Victoria Tea Festival will provide you with an opportunity to indulge in a wide selection of teas originating from different regions of the world and prepared in unique ways. Experience, learn, sample, touch, smell, and inquire by engaging with all the knowledgeable exhibitors at their booths. Purchase your favourite teas and tea-wares at this one-stop shop for all things tea!

In most traditions, tea is accompanied by food. Like wine, some teas are more enjoyable with the right food pairing. Tea houses, bakeries, chocolatiers, and restaurants will be at the festival as well, providing samples of their food selections. Be sure to ask the tea representatives their recommended pairings and anticipate trying something new!

Event Programs

Cause

Camosun College Child Care Services

The Victoria Tea Festival, organized and managed entirely by a volunteer committee, had its inception in 2007 and has experienced phenomenal growth over the last three years gaining interest from across North America. Representatives from various media outlets, the hospitality industry, wholesale distributors, national/international tea companies, local tea houses, local bakeries, and local restaurants have showcased their product, through providing samples on site and interacting with the festival attendees in an intimate setting. 2832 people attended the festival in 2009!

Camosun College Child Care Services, the cause behind the event, operates five licensed centers on both campuses. Providing high quality child care on campus allows parents the opportunity to pursue their educational and career goals while raising children. All proceeds from the festival are used for non-personnel resources, special projects and an annual student bursary.
